Jebel Ali has a total of 71 mooring docks. The entrance channel is bordered by buoys and starts 15 km outside the port; it is 17m deep and 320m wide. The appeal element of Dubai consists in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), that is the ideal hub for the storage and distribution of merchandise destined to a market of over 2 billion people.
